PreK and Preschool Programs   Program hours Morning preschool: 8:30am-12:30pm Aftercare is offered Monday through Friday (excluding Wednesdays) from 12:30pm-2:45pm. Our program offers a flexible schedules including five, three or two days a week.   2010-2011 Program Options   Pre-K Program meets Monday,Wednesday and Friday to all children who will be age 4 on or before December 1, 2009 Preschool Program meets Tuesday and Thursday Children aged 2 years 9 months to children age 4 after December 1, 2009 5 Day Enrollment offered to ages 2 years 9 months and older.       Monthly tuition for 2010-2011 is as follows: AM Program 8:30-12:30pm 2 days $303.00 3 days $436.00 5 days $626.00   Prepaid Aftercare 12:30pm-2:45pm 2 days $151.00 3 days $218.00 4 days $251.00 Registration Fee In order to secure a place in the preschool we ask for a $50.00 registration fee.  This fee will be applied towards your first month's tuition. Annual resource fee for 2010-2011 There is an annual resource fee of $100.00 per child.  This annual fee is fixed, regardless of program you choose. Discounts and Drop-in care There is 20% sibling discount. This discount is applied to the second child's tuition fees.   The drop-in fee for the 2010-2011 AM Program and Aftercare Program is $12.00/hour. Drop-in care is available for enrolled children only when we have space available. Parent Participation Much of the quality of your program depends upon the quality of parent participation. We believe that parent involvement is and essential part of our program's success. Each family is required to do 2 (two) Parent Task Hours per month of pay $15 in lieu of work. There is a vast variety of ways to participate each month both in the classroom and outside of classroom and via supply donations. Bonny Doon Community Preschool 2010 Summer Program!!!   Take a Trip Through the Rainforest! We will approach the curriculum through various mediums, such as scientific experiments, related arts and crafts, charting, journal writing, book making, gardening and cooking. We will continue to work on Kindergarten Readiness with the children who will be starting K in the Fall. We will also plan a good deal of water play and fort making in our amazing yard!   We will conduct two 3 week sessions: The morning program will run M-Th (if enrollment allows) from 8:30am-12:30pm, with Aftercare from 12:30pm-2:30pm.   Session One-A Trip Through the Rainforest- South America June 21- July 8 We will explore the geography, plant life, animal life and ecological systems of South American Rainforest! We will learn about South American Folklore and traditions through geography, South American dance and music, science, art and cooking   Session Two- A Trip Through the Rainforest- Asia and Africa July 12-July 29 We will explore the geography, plant life, animal life and ecological systems of the Rainforests of Africa, Indonesia and Australia.   We are offering a 2, 3 or 4 day option, dependent upon enrollment levels.
